| Critters at Short Creek Fjords |
| Along with our herd of horses, our farm is also home to a fair size bunch of "critters". Ashes is our male llama that we bought in the spring of 2002. He is a very lovable looking fellow, and spent most of the summer watching over our good neighbors herd of sheep. Tracker and Esso are our 2 dogs that do a very good job of keeping the many predators from out of the valley away from the livestock. They get along with our 3 cats Garfield, Coal and Lucky as long as the cats are patient enough to let the dogs eat first. Seven Dorper cross sheep take care of alot of weeds and trim the grass in the hard to get places, with out bothering the flower beds and garden. (Ya right ). Add about 30 Red Rock and Red Sussex chickens to keep the tick and bark beetle numbers down and supply the eggs. All together they do their bit and entertain children of all ages,(including me). |
